Collector Notes
Ninety-five years after its creation, the Reverso remains the clearest proof that a genuinely original design ages on its own terms. Jaeger-LeCoultre’s choice of Miami Design District for this retrospective is deliberate: a neighbourhood defined by architecture, art galleries, and luxury retail is the natural setting for a watch born at the intersection of Art Deco and precision engineering.
The exhibition is structured in four chapters — Story of an Icon, Story of Design, Story of Innovation, and Story of Craftsmanship — drawing on archival pieces rarely seen outside Geneva alongside current high jewellery and complications. A live perlage demonstration brings one of the Manufacture’s lesser-known decorative techniques into the open, offering visitors direct access to a finishing process that rarely leaves the Vallée de Joux. For collectors already familiar with the Reverso Hybris Mechanica Calibre 185 and its four dials, the pop-up provides the rare context of seeing the full lineage assembled in sequence. Those booking ahead through the Fondation Haute Horlogerie or following Watches and Wonders coverage will find the Miami chapter adds genuinely new pieces to that story.
Design & The Or Deco Collection
The five new Or Deco pieces are the commercial centre of the Miami presentation. Three of them carry 46 coloured gemstones each, one per colourway: sapphire, emerald, ruby. The palette consciously references classic cocktail watches of the mid-20th century while the Milanese bracelet shifts the register toward contemporary wearability.
A fourth model works in 18K white gold (750/1000) without coloured stone, creating a monochromatic alternative for collectors who prefer the architecture to speak without chromatic emphasis. The fifth is a smaller, unisex size — the first time the Or Deco line has addressed a more compact format. All five premiere in Miami before any other market, which is relevant for GCC clients who will encounter them subsequently through regional distribution. The range is consistent with the Reverso’s documented capacity to occupy both sporty and formally elegant contexts simultaneously.

Movement & Materials
Two complications anchor the technical side of the exhibition. The Reverso Hybris Artistica Pegasus Calibre 179 in 18K pink gold (750/1000) is engraved by hand over 180 hours. The front dial layers hand-filled blue lacquer cloud motifs over a structured architectural composition. On the reverse, a skeletonised Duoface movement frames the Gyrotourbillon with blue lacquer accents and contrasting surface finishes. The hours of hand engraving are not a marketing figure; they reflect the actual sequence of relief work and cloud-motif cutting that constitutes Métiers Rares practice at the Manufacture.
The Duometre Heliotourbillon Perpetual in platinum is more contained in its presentation. Calibre 388 unites the Duometre dual-winding architecture with a multi-axis tourbillon, introduced in 2024 and now rehoused in a platinum case with matching bracelet and grey dial. Twenty numbered pieces will be produced. Showing it exclusively at a pop-up rather than at a major fair is a deliberate calibration of scarcity; for the collectors likely to acquire one, the Miami context is the correct one.

Market Position
The pop-up runs until 31 May. The new Miami boutique follows in Summer 2026. Between those two dates, The Salon at The Moore (4040 NE 2nd Avenue, second floor) serves as an appointment and walk-in space for clients who want private access to the collections outside the public pop-up hours.
For the GCC market, this sequence matters. The Or Deco pieces and the platinum Duometre will reach regional boutiques after their Miami premiere; collectors wanting allocation on the 20-piece Duometre should engage their relationship managers before the pop-up closes. The Made of Makers programme — with Olivecoat’s archive-inspired webcomic, Dr. Yiyun Kang’s Golden Ratio video sculpture, and Nina Métayer’s Splendeur Tropicale creation at the 1931 Café — adds cultural weight that positions the Reverso well beyond its polo origins. Since 1833, the Manufacture has registered more than 430 patents and created over 1,400 calibres; the Miami pop-up is one chapter in a very long editorial.
