Geneva Watch Days 2026: 71 Brands, 400 Releases, a Record Edition

Geneva Watch Days 2026 set new records with 71 brands, nearly 400 releases, and 2,500+ collectors. Full recap for GCC watch buyers and collectors.

The Case in Brief

  • Seven editions into its history, Geneva Watch Days drew 71 participating brands in 2026, a new record, alongside nearly 400 new releases across five days in September.
  • More than 2,500 collectors, private clients and enthusiasts attended, more than double the 2025 figure, shifting the event’s centre of gravity decisively toward the watch community itself.
  • Two venues anchored the week: the Pavillon at the Rotonde du Mont-Blanc, with nearly 5,000 unique visitors, and the Blue Box, which welcomed close to 3,000.
  • The Phillips charity auction raised CHF 115,500 for the Geneva Watchmaking School and the Pierre Amstutz Fund, bringing the cumulative total since 2023 to CHF 519,400.

The Watch Community Takes Centre Stage

Five days, 71 brands, nearly 400 releases. Those figures alone would make the 2026 edition the largest in the event’s history. What the numbers cannot capture is the atmosphere that came with them. Under clear September skies, Geneva moved at a different pace this year, shaped by an unprecedented density of collectors, clients and independent enthusiasts who arrived not as press or trade, but simply as people who love watches.

Their numbers more than doubled against 2025. Touch & Feel sessions with brands and creators, a permanent Collectors’ Lounge, and open exchanges with watchmakers and CEOs gave that community genuine access. Retailers, too, brought far larger client contingents than in prior years. The energy was tangible by the first morning.

Two Venues, Full Range

Around 1,200 visitors crossed the Pavillon threshold on the closing Sunday alone. The Blue Box, operating in a new format this year, drew close to 3,000 unique visitors to its exhibition centred on the Four Elements. Guided tours allowed visitors to handle the watches directly.

The 71 participating brands covered the full range of contemporary production, from historic Maisons to independent makers working under their own names. Zenith, De Bethune, MB&F, Greubel Forsey and Laurent Ferrier shared the week with Bell & Ross, Breitling, Bvlgari, Girard-Perregaux and Oris, among many others.

Knowledge, Education, and CHF 519,400 Raised

The programme extended well beyond showroom access. Power Breakfasts brought executives and entrepreneurs together each morning with the support of PMI. The CaliberShip Challenge, run with the Geneva Watchmaking School and COSC, asked participants to regulate a mechanical movement under competition conditions. The Fondation Haute Horlogerie contributed to the cultural programming alongside the GPHG, Julius Baer, Geneva Tourism and the City of Geneva.

At the Phillips charity auction on 3 September, 16 unique lots from participating brands raised CHF 115,500 for the Geneva Watchmaking School and the Pierre Amstutz Fund. The top lot, a unique piece by Konstantin Chaykin, sold for CHF 24,000. The cumulative total since 2023 now stands at CHF 519,400.

What the 2026 Edition Signals

Jean-Christophe Babin, President of Geneva Watch Days, described the collectors’ presence as the defining memory of the edition: “They came to see the watches, speak with the people who create them, understand, discover and share. That is precisely the original purpose and vision of Geneva Watch Days: watchmaking that is open, alive and accessible.”

Seven editions in, the event has moved beyond its origins as a trade alternative. For GCC collectors considering their September calendar, the 2026 figures make a persuasive case for Geneva as a destination in its own right.
