Born in 1952 for the members of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the Navitimer is the pilot’s chronograph by excellence: its circular slide rule turns the bezel into a flight computer, for airspeed, fuel consumption and rate of climb. More than seventy years later, it remains the icon of Breitling, the house founded by Léon Breitling in Saint-Imier in 1884. Breitling and House of Brands: Universal Genève and Gallet

Breitling is the spearhead of House of Brands, the home it now shares with two historic Swiss names. The three houses were first presented together at Dubai Watch Week in November 2025, and Georges Kern leads all three as chief executive.

Universal Genève is the most exclusive of the three: the house of the Polerouter and the Compax celebrated its official relaunch in Geneva on 13 April 2026, with watches produced in small quantities for its own boutiques. Gallet, founded in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1826, returned on 3 September 2026 for its 200th anniversary, during Geneva Watch Days, with four collections made by Breitling; its three anniversary pieces share the hand-wound Caliber B09 of the new Navitimer Miles Davis. Gallet opens the door to the family, Breitling carries the pilot’s legend, and Universal Genève crowns it.
