A Celestial Ballet for the Wrist
With SKYDANCE, Les Ateliers Louis Moinet translates the rhythm of Sun and Moon into a mechanical performance on the wrist, with Sun radiant and Moon a calm glow.
The composition is a feminine expression of Louis Moinet’s fascination with the stars, linked to the brand’s historical work for astronomy and notable patrons, and launched in 2026 in the context of key anniversaries in its history.
A Dial of Rare Materials and Symbolism
The dial is built on a white mother-of-pearl base with eleven VVS diamonds marking the hours, creating points of light for the Sun and Moon motif.
Moon appears as a golden crescent on a disc of lunar meteorite Dhofar 457, while Sun shines over a black aventurine backdrop whose sparkling inclusions recall a night sky.
Two superimposed sun discs create the animation: one remains fixed while the other rotates, driven by the automatic movement, so Sun seems alive while Moon remains serene. A slim ring on the mother-of-pearl visually links the crescent, its meteorite support and the radiating Sun, while dewdrop-shaped hour and minute hands in black nickel with luminescent treatment preserve legibility.

Case, Editions and Movement
The SKYDANCE case is crafted from polished and satin-brushed grade 5 titanium, measuring approximately 36 millimetres in diameter and 12.10 millimetres in height. A white ceramic bezel frames the dial, ceramic cabochons on the lugs add a bright accent, a sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective treatment protects the display and water resistance is rated to 50 metres.
Two diamond-set interpretations are offered, each limited to 28 pieces: one with a bezel set with six VVS diamonds totalling 0.159 carats, the other with sixty VVS diamonds totalling 0.65 carats, combining 54 smaller and six larger stones. The grade 5 titanium crown is encircled by a white ceramic ring and bears a fleur-de-lys emblem.
Inside, the self-winding calibre LM58 drives both timekeeping and the rotating Sun animation. Beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, it offers a 42-hour power reserve, uses 28 jewels and measures 26 millimetres in diameter and 5.25 millimetres in height.
The movement is visible through a transparent caseback, revealing an oscillating weight that portrays Moon lying in Sun’s embrace as a permanent eclipse. Functions are focused on hours and minutes, with the rotating Sun making a full rotation every 60 seconds as a poetic expression of time.
Strap, Comfort and Personalisation
SKYDANCE is delivered on a genuine rubber strap with a satin texture, secured by a steel folding clasp. An alligator strap is available in various colours on request, while the mix of titanium, ceramic, diamonds and rare dial materials gives the watch a distinctive presence on the wrist.

Why It Matters
For discerning collectors in the GCC, SKYDANCE offers a ladies’ watch that combines lunar meteorite, aventurine and a dedicated Sun–Moon animation, rather than relying solely on gem-setting for impact. Its limited editions and historical resonance with Louis Moinet’s astronomical heritage make it especially relevant in a region that values narrative depth and exclusivity. The result is a timepiece that aligns poetic symbolism with focused mechanical content for a sophisticated audience.
