Geneva Watch Days 2026 gathered 71 maisons and some 400 releases along the lake, a record edition. 1. MB&F — M.A.D.3 Vincent Calabrese
The M.A.D.3 revives the Baladin, the wandering jumping hour conceived by independent watchmaker Vincent Calabrese in the late 1980s. His idea was that an hour should not snap into place between two blinks: the aperture itself travels across the dial and begins its migration some three minutes before the hour changes. MB&F rebuilt the mechanism as a bi-directional jumping hour with trailing minutes, mounted on an optimised La Joux-Perret G111 calibre with 55 hours of power reserve, and concealed the winding rotor for the first time in a M.A.D.Edition.
Why we retain it. It opens the selection because it carries the most generous idea of the week: a complication with a true author, offered at CHF 2,900. For a collector beginning a conversation with independent watchmaking, few pieces say as much.

2. Gallet — The 2026 collections
Founded in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1826, Gallet returns two hundred years later, now manufactured within Breitling’s infrastructure. The Flying Officer, the Multichron Pilot and the Multichron Sport share the Gallet 23 calibre and steel cases water-resistant to 100 metres. The three Gallet Classics, at 38 mm, run on the hand-wound, COSC-certified Breitling Manufacture Caliber B09 with around 70 hours of power reserve.
Why we retain it. A revival is judged on its first collection, and this one arrives complete: tool watches for today, and three faithful tributes for those who love the originals. The shared 20 mm quick-release straps are the kind of detail that shows a house thinking about how its watches will actually be worn.

3. Chronoswiss — Small Second Serpentine
The dial is cut from green serpentine sourced around Zermatt, so that no two pieces share the same veining. It sits in a 40 mm two-tone case of steel and 18-carat gold, above the C.6000 manufacture calibre, with a hand-guilloché small seconds at 9 o’clock.
Why we retain it. Stone dials were one of the quiet signatures of this edition, and Chronoswiss gives the theme a precise Swiss address. A material tied to one landscape, finished by an independent manufacture: provenance in the most literal sense.

4. Corum — Admiral Ceramic Collection
Ceramic enters the Admiral line for the first time, together with the model’s first integrated bracelet. Three 39 mm references were unveiled at Geneva Watch Days: Titanium Blue at CHF 18,900, a skeletonised anthracite version at CHF 24,900, and a Bicolour in ceramic and 5N gold at CHF 33,000. The CO231 and CO232 calibres, developed with Concepto, offer 72 hours of power reserve.
Why we retain it. The Admiral has been a nautical signature since 1983. Seeing it take on a demanding contemporary material, without giving up its twelve-sided character, makes this the sport-chic proposal of the week.

5. Czapek & Cie — Quai des Bergues “Midnight in Geneva” and Place Vendôme Complicité Glacier Blue
Czapek opened its Geneva flagship at Quai des Bergues 27, two doors from the address where François Czapek established his atelier in 1839, and marked the occasion with two editions. The Quai des Bergues “Midnight in Geneva” brings the dark blue aventurine dial to a new 40.5 mm steel case, powered by the hand-wound Calibre SXH1 with seven days of power reserve, in 18 pieces. The Place Vendôme Complicité Glacier Blue, in platinum, carries Calibre 8 with two independent balance wheels and a differential at 12 o’clock, in 10 pieces.
Why we retain it. A house that returns to its founding quay and answers with a starlit dial and a double escapement has understood what Geneva Watch Days is for: watchmaking shown where it was born.
6. Daniel Roth — The gilt dial
Daniel Roth devoted its September film to a single craft. The indications are masked first; the black is then built immersion by immersion through electroplating; a final demasking reveals the original gold of the base plate, in sharp contrast against the black field. What reads as gold printing is the dial itself showing through.
Why we retain it. We retain it because it is a lesson in how true luxury is made: not added, but revealed. Black and gold is a combination collectors in the Middle East have long understood, and here it is achieved by the most patient route.

7. Laurent Ferrier — Classic Moon Dusk, Série Atelier
Yellow gold enters the Classic case for the first time. The 40 mm annual calendar with moon phase, driven by the manually wound LF126.02 calibre, carries a moon disc carved from gold sheen obsidian, hand-engraved and hand-painted, beneath a bridge in anise-yellow plique-à-jour enamel with no metal base, so that light passes through it. Twenty pieces, at CHF 93,000 excluding taxes, available from Laurent Ferrier.
Why we retain it. Every colour on the dial, from the taupe-to-chocolate gradient to the ochre date numeral, traces back to the warmth of the gold. It is the most complete composition of the week, and the one we would place at the centre of the selection.

8. gérald genta — Geneva Minute Repeater Golden Obsidian
The minute repeater was, according to the maison, the complication Mr. Genta held most dear. The new Geneva Minute Repeater pairs it with a dial of golden obsidian, a natural stone whose character makes every example its own: the acoustic precision of a chiming movement, and the geology of a stone dial.
Why we retain it. Provenance and narrative matter to collectors in our region as much as mechanics. A chiming watch that speaks of its founder’s own hierarchy of complications offers both.

9. L.Leroy — Vox Temporis
Presented at Geneva Watch Days on 26 August 2026, the Vox Temporis is read from a rotating dial and heard on demand: minutes are never shown, only chimed. Calibre L601SQR, developed and manufactured in Geneva, unites a minute repeater on two gongs and a 76-part flying tourbillon in 321 components, within a 43 mm Officer case with a hinged cover. Fifteen pieces in all: 5N red gold, platinum and grade 5 titanium.
Why we retain it. A watch that asks to be listened to is a rare proposition. The Officer case, which may be personalised, adds the intimacy of a pocket watch to one of the most demanding complications there is.

10. David Candaux — DC6 Wildfire
At Le Solliat the workshop faces west, and at first light the crest of the Risoux burns orange for a few minutes while the valley remains grey. The DC6 Wildfire records that moment. Its domed dial is orange anodised titanium, coloured by voltage-controlled oxidation alone, without pigment or lacquer. A 30° inclined flying tourbillon in blue anodised titanium, its cage weighing 0.35 gram, sits within the H74 calibre. Titanium and UD carbon, assembled without adhesives, bring the 45 mm watch to 45 grams. Eight pieces, at CHF 248,000 each.
Why we retain it. It closes the selection as its summit: a precise place, a precise minute of the day, and a watchmaker who signs every decision. This is what independence looks like at its most accomplished.

What the selection says to collectors in the Middle East
Read together, the ten pieces draw three lines. Stone is the dial of the year: gold sheen obsidian at Laurent Ferrier, golden obsidian at gérald genta, Zermatt serpentine at Chronoswiss. Each makes the watch unique by nature, which is the most sincere form of exclusivity.
Editions are counted on two hands: eight, ten, fifteen, eighteen and twenty pieces. For collectors in Riyadh, Dubai, Doha or Kuwait City, the conversation with the maison begins well before the purchase, and several of these pieces are offered directly by their makers.
