Fullord Masai Slim: Finer Proportions, the Same Protective Symbol

Fullord Masai Slim refines the original spearhead design in 18K yellow, rose and white gold, with diamond options. Rings from CHF 1,750.

Where Things Stand

  • Slimmer than its predecessor, Masai Slim narrows the spearhead silhouette while keeping the defining composition of two opposing spearheads that identifies the collection.
  • Available in three expressions across 18K yellow, rose and white gold: polished, diamond-set sides, and fully diamond-set.
  • The ring (ref. 2500.33S.R2) is priced from CHF 1,750; the earrings (ref. 4500.33S.W2) from CHF 2,850, VAT included.
  • Designed for women and men, and conceived for layering with existing Masai pieces as well as for solo wear.

The Original Idea

Sandrine Thibaud, Founder and Creative Director of Fullord, drew directly from her upbringing in Africa when creating the original Masai collection. As a child, she listened to a neighbour recount stories of her Maasai grandparents, and the image of the Maasai spear, traditionally associated with protection, stayed with her. That personal memory became the governing idea of the collection’s architecture.

The Maison’s Geneva origins inform the technical execution, but the emotional logic is African. Two opposing spearheads form the core visual structure, a composition that has remained fixed across every iteration of the line.

How the Line Evolved

The Masai collection has always allowed for variation in material and setting rather than structural reinvention. The spearhead composition remained constant while gold colour and diamond density offered the primary points of distinction. Masai Slim follows that approach, adding proportion itself as a new variable.

Thibaud is direct about the intention: “The proportions may have changed, but the spirit of Masai remains exactly the same.” The slimmer body does not soften the graphic strength of the motif; the geometry is preserved, simply drawn at a finer scale.

What This Release Specifically Changes

Three expressions in 18K gold cover the range. The polished version foregrounds the sculptural line in its purest form. A second version places diamonds along the sides of each spearhead, catching light along the silhouette’s edges. The fully diamond-set interpretation offers the most luminous reading of the same shape.

Because gold colour and setting type can be mixed across pieces, the collection opens up a wider range of combinations for collectors who wish to build a personal composition over time. Worn alone, Masai Slim sits closer to the wrist with a quieter presence; stacked alongside the original Masai, the contrast in scale becomes its own statement.

Where It Now Sits for a Collector

For collectors in the Gulf who appreciate jewellery that carries a traceable personal narrative, Masai Slim has a clear point of entry. The ring opens at CHF 1,750 (€2,150 / USD 2,800); the earrings at CHF 2,850 (€3,450 / USD 4,400), both VAT included. Those prices position Masai Slim as an accessible introduction to a collection that rewards layering over time.

Fullord announced Masai Slim in October 2026, in time for the key jewellery season. For collectors following the Geneva jewellery circuit, including Geneva Watch Days, the Maison’s measured approach to a signature reinterpretation offers a clear point of contrast against broader seasonal trends.
