Eclettica: A Roman Vision of Time as Art

Bvlgari’s Eclettica collection treats the high-jewelry watch as a complete artwork, with time integrated into sculptural compositions. The aesthetic is rooted in Rome – its architecture, mosaics, and artistic heritage – and expressed through clear lines and assured color.

Color and contrast build depth, while gem-set volumes function as miniature architectures that move with the body. Across more than 50 pieces, including 15 transformable creations, Eclettica shows how far a watch can evolve while remaining anchored in haute joaillerie.

This vision reflects Bvlgari’s idea of “artsmanship”: artistic intuition joined with technical mastery. Gemstones are orchestrated like pigments, capturing light and shadow, while cases, bracelets, and dials become three-dimensional structures with the movement seamlessly integrated.

Notte Stellata Divas’ Dream

The Notte Stellata Divas’ Dream evokes the night sky over Rome through a layered dial. A central black opal forms a shifting backdrop for sapphires, diamonds, and multicolored gemstones arranged like a constellation beneath a domed crystal.

The bracelet reprises the fan motif inspired by the Baths of Caracalla and is set with approximately 1,140 brilliant-cut diamonds, framing the dial as a fragment of Roman sky. The 38 mm white gold case is set with diamonds, with a baguette-cut diamond bezel and diamond-set bracelet amplifying the luminous effect of the black opal.

Notte Stellata is powered by the Piccolissimo BVP 100 manual-winding micro-movement measuring 2.5 mm thick, offering hours and minutes and an approximate 30-hour power reserve. Gem-setting across dial, bezel, and case reinforces the impression of a kinetic jewel.

Pavone Bracelet Watch

The Pavone Bracelet Watch offers a sculptural reading of Eclettica, echoing the peacock in Roman art. Spanning the wrist as a fluid composition, it pairs diamonds, rubellites, and emeralds to suggest layered plumage in motion.

A pavé-set diamond dial within a 14 mm white gold case appears as a continuation of the bird’s form. The piece features 1,725 diamonds totalling approximately 60.5 carats, 78 rubellites of around 3.8 carats, and 45 emeralds of about 1.4 carats, accented by pear-shaped rubellites and emeralds.

Inside, the Pavone Bracelet Watch is equipped with the Piccolissimo BVL 100 manual-winding micro-movement, 2.5 mm thick, providing hours and minutes with an approximate 30-hour power reserve.

Serpenti Dea Secret

The Serpenti Dea Secret revisits Bvlgari’s serpent motif with an architectural approach. Its hexagonal white gold bracelet coils around the wrist, bringing geometric definition to the Serpenti silhouette and underlining the idea of time discreetly concealed.

A hidden diamond pavé dial beneath the Serpenti head turns reading the time into an intimate gesture. The 14 mm white gold case is set with diamonds and emeralds, while the bracelet continues the gem-setting with diamonds and emeralds in marquise, cabochon, pear, and brilliant cuts, including 787 diamonds of approximately 12.9 carats and 12 navette-cut diamonds of about 4.2 carats.

The Serpenti Dea Secret is driven by the Piccolissimo BVP 100 manual-winding micro-movement, delivering hours and minutes with an approximate 30-hour power reserve.
