RESSENCE
Founded in 2010 by Belgian industrial designer Benoît Mintiens, Ressence reimagines mechanical watchmaking through a contemporary, design-led lens. Swiss made yet guided by a distinct industrial design philosophy, the brand challenges traditional horology by eliminating hands and redefining how time is displayed, read, and experienced.
Innovation Beyond Traditional Time Display
At the core of Ressence lies the patented ROCS system, where rotating discs replace conventional hands to create a constantly evolving dial. This dynamic display enhances legibility and offers an intuitive reading of time. Certain models introduce oil-filled chambers, producing a striking optical effect that brings the display into direct visual contact with the crystal, while advanced engineering ensures precision through dual-chamber construction and magnetic transmission.
Design, Ergonomics and Modern Interaction
Ressence watches are defined by their smooth, ergonomic forms and minimalist aesthetic, shaped to feel natural on the wrist. The absence of a traditional crown, replaced by a caseback setting system, reinforces a more instinctive interaction. With innovations such as the eCrown system and a collection spanning refined, technical, and sport-inspired models, Ressence stands at the intersection of mechanical ingenuity and modern design.
