Beda'a Angles Guichets pairs a Sun-and-Moon aperture display with a modified Peseux 7001 in a 6.3 mm-slim 37 mm case. Permanent collection, 1800 CHF.
The Details That Matter
- Reference BQAS0526-37 houses a modified Peseux/ETA 7001 running at half speed to complete a full 24-hour rotation, within a case just 6.3 mm thin.
- First Angles complication: a dual aperture display in which Sun and Moon travel across the dial to indicate day and night.
- Priced at 1,800 CHF, both the stainless steel and gold-plated versions enter the permanent, non-limited Angles collection.
- Previous limited Angles releases were fully allocated within 24 hours of announcement.

At Geneva Watch Week 2026, Beda’a presented the Angles Guichets, the first watch in the Angles line to carry a complication. The maison states that the gear train of the Peseux/ETA 7001 calibre was reworked with a Swiss partner to run at exactly half the conventional speed, so that a single rotation corresponds to 24 hours rather than 12, while maintaining a 42-hour power reserve.
Sohaib Maghnam, the creative force behind Beda’a, conceived the display around how the passage of time is perceived from Earth. On the upper aperture, a Sun crosses the dial from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.; a Moon takes over for the remaining hours. The lower aperture handles the minutes, marked in five-minute increments against a flush-set arrow. No central hands, no chapter ring, no seconds indication.
Design & Aesthetics
The aperture format is among the most demanding constraints in watch design precisely because every familiar visual anchor disappears. Beda’a addresses this through the established Angles architecture: eight facets, integrated lugs, three stepped case levels, all preserved at 37 mm wide and 34 mm lug-to-lug. The lacquered 24-hour dial is entirely closed and embossed, its surface geometry following the octagonal outline of the case. Hour numerals appear as even figures separated by applied dot markers, framed by a sector-style outline.

Movement & Construction
Peseux, founded in 1923 near Neuchâtel, supplies one of the few hand-wound calibres that collectors in this segment actively seek. The 7001 is prized above all for its slim profile, and it is that slimness that holds the Angles Guichets to 6.3 mm in overall thickness. The calfskin leather strap is embossed to echo the dial motif; its lining carries the same pattern, an internal detail visible only to the wearer.
Collection Position
Within the Angles line, the Guichets marks a shift: where every previous release was limited and rapidly exhausted, these two references — 316L stainless steel and gold-plated stainless steel — enter as permanent catalogue pieces at 1,800 CHF. For collectors across the Gulf who encountered the limited series too late, the permanent status removes the allocation pressure without altering the watch’s character.

What movement does the Beda'a Angles Guichets use, and how was it modified?
Beda'a fitted the hand-wound Peseux/ETA 7001 calibre, modified in partnership with a Swiss specialist so the gear train runs at half the standard speed, completing one full rotation in 24 hours rather than 12. Power reserve remains 42 hours.
How much does the Beda'a Angles Guichets cost, and is it a limited edition?
The Angles Guichets is priced at 1,800 CHF and is not a limited edition; it joins the permanent Angles collection. Previous limited Angles series were each fully allocated within 24 hours of release.
