A Decade Marked by a Jump in Time
Czapek & Cie celebrates 10 years since its revival and 180 years since its 1845 origins with the Time Jumper, a creation that rethinks how time is read while nodding to François Czapek’s pocket watches.
At its heart is the in-house Calibre 10.1, whose central digital-style display replaces traditional hands: hours appear on a 24-hour register via two sapphire discs for units and tens, while minutes are shown on a rotating peripheral ring for a contemporary, graphic read-out.
Calibre 10.1: Architecture and Autonomy
Calibre 10.1 focuses on hours and minutes yet is designed as the base for a family of in-house movements, each conceived as a fully integrated complication and adaptable to cases as small as 36mm.
A centrally mounted skeletonised rotor in recycled 950 platinum frames an open view of the gear train, with curved bridges and straight rotor arms shaped like a geometry compass. The calibre measures 30mm by 6.13mm, with 275 parts, 44 jewels, a Swiss lever escapement, a variable-inertia balance beating at 4 Hz (28,800 vph) and a single barrel providing a 60-hour power reserve.
Designed, conceived and assembled in-house, Calibre 10.1 is machined 75% internally, while specialist partners contribute specific savoir-faire under an établissage philosophy that underscores Czapek’s growing technical autonomy.

Finishing and Display
Finishing on Calibre 10.1 emphasises depth and contrast, with sandblasted and circular-brushed rhodium-plated bridges set against blackened plates, plus five-spoke wheels with circular brushing and bevelling.
The indications mirror this graphic language, with SLN-treated sapphire discs for hours and minutes, a laser-coloured blue minutes disc, traditional negative engraving on the rotor, laser-engraved numerals and black polished springs.
A Flying Saucer, Rooted in Geneva
The 40.5mm case, created with partner AB Concept, presents a smooth flying-saucer profile with soft curves, an oval-shaped button at 6 o’clock to release the cover, rounded lugs and a discreet notched crown.
The half-hunter cover is both shield and hallmark: in stainless steel with a white gold guilloché inlay, or in 3N 18-carat yellow gold with matching guilloché, it bears a three-dimensional pattern developed with Metalem and evolved from the Singularité guilloché of the Antarctique Tourbillon.
With the cover closed, the loupe above the crystal focuses attention on the jumping hours; opening it reveals the full display beneath a sapphire glass-box with anti-reflective treatment on both sides, paired with a blue rubber strap and 18mm stainless steel or 3N gold pin buckle.

Limited Editions and Commemorative Intent
Production of Calibre 10.1 is capped at 180 movements, echoing the 180th anniversary of Czapek’s original founding in Geneva in 1845. The Time Jumper launches with 100 pieces in stainless steel and 30 pieces in 3N 18-carat gold, with remaining calibres reserved for special projects, including 10 bespoke pieces available to order through the Czapek boutique.
