On the dial of an ALTO, the seconds run counterclockwise. With ART 02, unveiled at Geneva Watch Days 2026, that signature now sits within a watch conceived as a single architecture: case, integrated bracelet and movement plate are all made of Grade 5 titanium, around a manufacture calibre beating at 5 Hz. The maison, founded in France in 2024 and manufactured in Switzerland, presents it as its first permanent collection, at EUR 13,100 excluding VAT.

From a manifesto to a signature
ART 01 stated a concept; ART 02, in the maison’s words, distils its quintessence. The design is the work of Raphaël Abeillon, who joined ALTO as Creative Director in September 2024 after a decade shaping watch design at Cartier. He kept the architectural principles of the first model and drew more restrained proportions, for a watch the maison describes as more essential and more universal.
The dial gains a flange integrated directly into the case, carrying the hour markers and a discreet minute track, and refined, skeletonised hands. The main sapphire crystal is curved and bevelled on the outside, hemispherical on the inside.
The A02 calibre, made with Le Cercle des Horlogers
Case and movement were conceived together. The A02 calibre was developed and manufactured with Le Cercle des Horlogers, in Les Hauts-Geneveys, exclusively for ART 02: a self-winding movement with micro-rotor, beating at 5 Hz, 36,000 vibrations per hour, with 24 jewels and a 50-hour power reserve, in a thickness of 3.6 mm. Its plate is Grade 5 titanium, its bridges satin-finished brass with polished bevels, its micro-rotor rhodium-plated Reconit 18, microblasted, circular-brushed and engraved.
A one-piece sapphire caseback, cut with nine facets and screwed directly to the case, reveals the whole movement.
The first metal bracelet in the maison’s history
Developed entirely in Grade 5 titanium and designed for this model alone, the bracelet extends the lines of the crystal and the case. Each link carries several satin-brushed surfaces finished in different directions, so that the light plays across them without a single polished surface. The links taper progressively across four links.
The double-folding clasp offers 4 mm of on-the-fly micro-adjustment, two on either side. A quick-release system allows the bracelet to be exchanged, without tools, for a leather or rubber strap.
