The original Toccata appeared in 1977, drawing its silhouette from the quieter, rounder watch aesthetics of the preceding two decades. For this 50th-anniversary reissue, Raymond Weil retained the case diameter and soft profile without alteration. What changed is the finishing: double gadroons frame the case to strengthen its jewellery character, and the Roman numerals have been entirely redrawn for a sharper graphic presence.
