Basilia Jewellery & Watch Fair opens in Basel, 8–11 April 2027. Exhibitor registrations hit 70% of target three months after launch. What to expect.
What It Offers
- Seventy per cent of the 400-plus exhibitor target filled within three months of the fair’s launch, according to the organisers, with registrations still open ahead of the April 2027 inaugural edition.
- The product split for 2027: jewellery (50%), gemstones (25%) and watches (25%), across accessible mid-market through to premium price points.
- Asian exhibitors currently hold roughly 65% of booked floor space; European participation is growing and narrowing that gap.
- An Emerging Brands District and dedicated Launch Stages will give independent watch and jewellery labels structured access to international buyers and media.
Design & Mechanics

Basilia Jewellery & Watch Fair is structured around districts and participation formats rather than a single undifferentiated hall. That distinction shapes the experience for both exhibitors and buyers: confirmed names already span ateliers and loose-gemstone houses from Singapore, Germany, Hong Kong, Thailand, India and the United States, including AV Globale, Venus Jewel and Precious Pebbles. “We set out to attract diversity and that is exactly what we are seeing,” says Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets, “companies specialising in everything from ultra-luxury and innovative creations to aspirational luxury collections.” Wholesalers, distributors and retailers are all part of the anticipated visitor profile.
Market Position
The commercial logic runs in both directions across the Asia-Europe corridor. European brands arrive seeking Asian distribution; Asian suppliers are after European retail partners. Basel, a city shaped by centuries of international exchange, positions that exchange naturally. Roman Imgrüth, CEO of MCH Exhibitions & Events, describes the proposition plainly: “We have the opportunity to rethink what a trade fair can offer, a place that is exciting to explore, professional in its presentation and, above all, effective for the people who come to do business.” Supporting associations include the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry, the Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association and the Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association.
