Stewardship from Within

Watchmaker Haso Mehmedovic, who joined CORUM in 2011, completed a management buyout in May 2025 and now serves as Chairman and CEO, relaunching the maison from inside the La Chaux-de-Fonds manufacture.

His familiarity with Golden Bridge, Admiral, Coin and Golden Book supports a plan that consolidates these icons, keeping the manufacture, archives and museum pieces in place while translating heritage and nonconformist design into contemporary relevance.

CORUM ReLoaded: Focused Strategy

“CORUM ReLoaded” concentrates the portfolio on Admiral and Golden Bridge, framed by a heritage axis built around the Coin and the Golden Book.

Movement capabilities are progressively repatriated to La Chaux-de-Fonds with Concepto as long-term partner, while distribution is reduced from more than 300 points of sale in 2024 to around 70 by spring 2026, focusing on the United States, Japan and the Middle East.

Admiral: Architecture and Caliber

The 2026 Admiral line brings 39 mm and 36 mm cases and integrated bracelets created with Emmanuel Gueit and the EDGE team, retaining the twelve-sided bezel and maritime codes.

Pennants evolve from colourful flags into trapezoidal markers for clearer reading while preserving nautical DNA, with dials in wave-pattern Montremo, sunburst or meteorite referencing CORUM’s earlier use of the material.

The 39 mm range spans steel, steel-and-gold, gold on rubber, a titanium case and a skeletonized movement, paired with a multi-link integrated bracelet inspired by the 1983 Admiral.

A proprietary automatic movement developed with Concepto beats at 4 Hz with about 72 hours of power reserve and is visible through a sapphire back with a gold-toned rotor engraved with the brand motto and the CORUM Key.

Selection of CORUM heritage-inspired creations including the Coin and Golden Book editions for 2026
Heritage pieces such as the Coin and Golden Book reconnect CORUM’s 1960s and 1990s creativity with today’s collectors.

Four heritage interpretations

CORUM’s heritage axis condenses into four key creations:

  • The Coin, first launched in 1964, returns in 2026 based on a $50 gold coin split along its edge to house a movement.
  • A 36 mm automatic Coin version preserves the eagle, motto, Liberty allegory and face value.
  • The Golden Book, created in 1996, is reintroduced at 36 by 29 mm with a gold cover that opens via a pusher in the crown.
  • Inside the Golden Book, a manually wound movement in a titanium case drives two baton hands beside an Ernest Hemingway quote.

Golden Bridge: Sapphire, Titanium and Miss

Golden Bridge, created in 1980 as a linear baguette movement in a transparent case, remains CORUM’s most distilled design, and in 2026 appears in sapphire, titanium and Miss formats.

  • Golden Bridge Automatic uses a linear oscillating weight whose vertical motion winds the baguette caliber, with a peripheral arc carrying suspended indices in black and gold or black and silver.
  • Golden Bridge Classic is manually wound with movements in 5N gold or grey gold within the same sapphire architecture.
  • A Golden Bridge Classic in blue PVD-treated titanium links the piece to the historic blue of the inaugural Admiral’s Cup, pairing titanium with a 5N gold movement and a fabric strap.
  • The Miss Golden Bridge appears in a pink sapphire tonneau case open from all sides, designed to sit like a cuff and emphasise mechanical transparency.

Why It Matters

For GCC collectors, CORUM’s ReLoaded strategy concentrates on Admiral, Golden Bridge and a focused group of heritage pieces, supported by movement development and visibility at Watches and Wonders. With the Middle East named as a strategic region and distribution refocused on high-value partners, the maison’s 2026 direction aims to deliver coherent, collectible access to one of Switzerland’s consistently nonconformist manufactures.
