Founded in 1988 in the Vallée de Joux, Daniel Roth is an independent Swiss watchmaking house born from the vision of its founder, master watchmaker Daniel Roth. Conceived as an expression of uncompromising mechanical craftsmanship, the brand quickly became known for highly complex timepieces and a distinctive aesthetic language. At its core lies a pursuit of traditional haute horlogerie, executed with technical audacity and refined restraint.

Daniel Roth’s creations are instantly recognizable through their emblematic double-ellipse case—neither round nor rectangular—an enduring signature that set the brand apart. Trained in France and Switzerland, and shaped by formative years at Audemars Piguet and Breguet, Daniel Roth brought a deep respect for classical watchmaking to his own Maison. Legacy

Throughout the 1990s, the brand expanded its technical repertoire before undergoing ownership changes and eventually entering dormancy. In 2023, Daniel Roth was revived under the guidance of La Fabrique du Temps, returning with limited-edition creations that honor its original spirit. Produced in extremely small numbers, today’s Daniel Roth timepieces reaffirm the brand’s legacy of mechanical excellence, distinctive design, and enduring relevance in the world of haute horlogerie.
