The Pump Gesture, Reimagined on the Wrist
In the late 1980s, Reebok’s Pump sneaker became a cultural symbol because it transformed a piece of sports equipment into a personal, interactive object. H. Moser & Cie. takes that same attitude and brings it into haute horlogerie with the Streamliner Pump, launched at Watches and Wonders 2026. Instead of a conventional crown, an anodised aluminium pusher in vivid orange channels the energy of each press directly to the barrel spring, winding the calibre and setting a mechanical spectacle in motion.
With every press, the power reserve indicator responds, its movement revealing the mechanical choreography unfolding beneath openworked bridges and a fully skeletonised rack. One simple gesture is enough to deliver more than one hour of power reserve, and once the spring is fully charged, the interaction does not have to end; the button can still be pressed purely for the pleasure of the gesture, reinforcing the watch’s playful spirit.
This concept expresses H. Moser & Cie.’s philosophy of “playful sophistication”. As CEO Edouard Meylan explains, the brand treats watchmaking with rigour yet cultivates the image of the “cool kid” of haute horlogerie. The Streamliner Pump embodies this stance: a serious mechanical achievement that still invites touch, surprise and a sense of lightness in an industry often focused on pure technical prowess.
A Pumped, Re-Engineered Movement
To make the Pump gesture mechanically meaningful, H. Moser & Cie. reworked its compact automatic HMC 500 small seconds movement from the ground up, transforming it into a manual-winding calibre. The result is the manufacture HMC 103, a hand-wound engine conceived specifically to integrate the Pump system while preserving the minimalist aesthetic codes that define the brand.
The HMC 103 measures 30.0 mm in diameter and 4.5 mm in height, with a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour. It comprises 131 components and 31 jewels, and offers a minimum power reserve of 74 hours. Technically, it incorporates an Original Straumann® hairspring and an anthracite finish with Moser double stripes, while visually it exposes partially skeletonised bridges that echo the open, architectural look visible through the sapphire caseback.
On the dial side, the movement focuses on essentials: hours and minutes, a power reserve display expressed via an orange disc, and the signature Pump pusher dedicated entirely to winding. This reduction to the core functions reinforces the Streamliner Pump’s clear narrative: every interaction with the watch is about the unique way it comes to life on the wrist.

Forged Quartz: When Quartz Becomes a Noble Material
The Streamliner Pump’s case challenges expectations just as much as its movement. Offered in two references, each limited to 250 pieces, the watch is crafted in forged quartz fibre, a material rarely used in watchmaking. Purer and whiter than glass fibre and resistant to UV exposure, quartz fibre can be coloured, providing aesthetic freedom that conventional carbon cannot match.
Segments of quartz fibre are placed in a mould, combined with injected resin, then compressed and subjected to two successive curing cycles. This process produces matte cases with a distinctive moiré pattern, ensuring that no two examples are identical. An internal titanium “sarcophagus” forms a protective exoskeleton inside the case, safeguarding the movement, guaranteeing water resistance to 10 ATM and securing the integrated rubber strap.
The watch measures 40.0 mm in diameter and 11.4 mm in total thickness, including the slightly domed sapphire crystal, yet remains surprisingly light thanks to the forged quartz and titanium elements. The titanium caseback, finished with DLC coating on the darker version, frames a sapphire crystal window, ensuring that the mechanical Pump story continues on the reverse side.
Black or White, Always Streamlined
H. Moser & Cie. proposes the Streamliner Pump in two contrasting executions. Reference 6103-2200 pairs a black forged quartz case with a black polished dial and an integrated black rubber strap, while reference 6103-2201 mirrors the concept in white forged quartz with a white polished dial and matching white rubber strap. In both, the dials are perfectly lacquered surfaces, each bearing the H. Moser & Cie. logo in transparent lacquer for a discreet, almost ghost-like signature.
Applied indices and streamlined hour and minute hands maintain the brand’s restrained design language. The hands are equipped with anthracite grey or white Globolight® inserts that emit a green glow in low light, ensuring legibility without disturbing the clean dial. The orange power reserve disc and the iconic Pump-style button add a deliberate pop of colour, subtle yet unmistakable.
The integrated rubber strap continues the fluid lines of the case, secured by a steel pin buckle engraved with the Moser logo. It completes a watch that is as much about comfort and ease of wear as it is about technical reinterpretation and design clarity.

From Sneaker to Watch and Back Again
The collaboration extends beyond the watch itself. Together with Reebok, H. Moser & Cie. has created an exclusive Pump sneaker, reserved for Streamliner Pump owners and close friends of the brand. This sneaker acts as a mirror to the timepiece: the Pump gesture migrates from shoe to watch and then returns to its original form, forming a confidential capsule for those who prefer their style and ideas to move in tandem.
The Streamliner Pump emerges from the Moser Exploration LAB™, a space dedicated to cultivating unusual ideas within the brand. It reinforces H. Moser & Cie.’s determination to explore new forms of interaction and materiality while remaining firmly rooted in the traditions of Swiss haute horlogerie.
Why It Matters
For collectors in the GCC, the Streamliner Pump aligns mechanical innovation with a distinct design language and a story rooted in contemporary culture. Its forged quartz construction, interactive Pump winding system and tightly limited production offer a differentiated proposition for those seeking pieces that stand apart yet remain authentically Swiss in craftsmanship.
The collaboration with Reebok adds an additional layer of narrative, connecting high-end watchmaking to lifestyle in a way that resonates with a region that values both performance and individuality.
