MONTBLANC
Montblanc was founded in Berlin in 1906 and settled in Hamburg the following year, where the house is still based. Renowned first for its writing instruments, the maison, part of the Richemont group, today spans watches, leather goods, fragrances, jewellery and accessories, with writing instruments crafted in Hamburg, leather goods in Florence and watches in Switzerland.
Heritage
The Meisterstück name appeared in 1924 and has become the emblem of the house, alongside the number 4810, the height of Mont Blanc. Two years later, in 1926, Montblanc introduced its first leather pieces, pen pouches designed to protect its writing instruments: in 2026 the house celebrates a century of leather creations. In watchmaking, Montblanc crafts its watches at its manufacture in Le Locle and draws on the chronograph heritage of Minerva in Villeret, a house founded in 1858 that Richemont acquired in 2006.
Collections
Writing instruments remain at the heart of the maison, from the Meisterstück to the StarWalker. Leather goods, led by Artistic Director Marco Tomasetta, include bags, wallets and travel pieces. The Legend and Explorer fragrances rank among the most sought-after names of the house, while its watch collections range from the 1858 line, rooted in Minerva heritage, to the Star Legacy and the Summit connected watch.
