BEDA’A
Beda’a is a Qatari watch house whose first collection appeared in 2024, developing an idea its founder Hader Al-Suwaidi had been working towards since the mid-2000s. It is one of very few Arab watch brands presenting at international level, and positions itself in accessible luxury rather than at the top of the market. Its design references come from Qatari architecture and heritage.
Fortress, Eclipse and Attrayant
The debut Fortress collection drew on the geometry of fortified architecture, establishing a restrained classical language. The Eclipse followed, produced in strictly limited annual numbers, and the Attrayant introduced an integrated sports watch with an octagonal brushed bezel in two case sizes. Together they map a small collection built deliberately around a single design vocabulary.
A Gulf Brand on the International Circuit
Beda’a develops its watches between Qatar and Switzerland, and has shown consistently at the region’s major watch events. Its significance in the trade runs ahead of its volume: it is frequently the only Arab maker on a stand list, at a moment when the Gulf has become one of watchmaking’s most important markets as a buyer. The brand is an attempt to participate as a producer.
